    Grateful Journal

Therapy helped me A LOT! My therapist is the type of person that challenged me to get out of my funk with all sorts of tasks & homework. One of her items was something that when she 1st suggested I internally shook my head with a 'NO WAY'. With almost all of her suggestions, I left thinking that I was not interested in doing these. However, the mind is a funny thing & after I left & stubbornly refused to do these 'items', I began to reevaluate what she was asking me to do. Th

    How Would You.....?

If you had the chance to say something about anyone, would you take it? I realize that most of my followers are my friends & these people have known me for years. For those of you who have not known me long, this would be a judgement call. Take the chance to place a positive moment of perception. Sometimes it is interesting on how others perceive you. Maybe even a good laugh. It can always help anyone, to fix somethings that are broken, or even acknowledge attributes you did

    Rain, Rain, Go Away!

How do people live in a world where it always rains? I am not sure about you all, but I don't have webbed feet. I need the sun to grow. I get that the rain is important for all the plants to grow! I get that we need it! But it 100% dictates my mood. Grey = sad Grey = sleepy Grey = no motivation And generally when it rains it = Grey. How does anyone combat this? When I was working these days even affected my ability to get anything done. It truly is one of those sad, sad days

    Camping Our Style

Camping from the long weekend is in the bag! All done & all fun! Except, to be very honest I am still recovering from all of it. A few days later.... I am fairly confident that being all shut in the house (except for groceries) caused us to be a little more out there than we normally are. Whenever we go camping we live life on camping time. What is camping time you ask? Well it is when the time just dissipates & causes a delay in meals & bed. You don't ever realize what time

    Seclusion #5

What had we all had to give up? Change is always hard to do, & it is the unknown that is always the most frightening. I have like everyone else these days given up a lot, but like they all say: 'it is worth it'. Things that I miss the most these days are my nails, hair appointments, & maybe the most important, friends. There are others too like, date night, volleyball, & shopping. My nails look ratchet & honestly haven't been this short in over 8 years & when they were this s

    Believe Series...Coming Soon!

This is just a precursor to a post that will be coming soon. It will be a series of blogs about the life I have experienced from my childhood, to where I am today as an adult. People say 'Everything Happens for a Reason', & although there is some truth in that, there are also the choices we make as humans that reflect who we become. Choices are those that define the reasons behind what happens. I have made decisions that have reflected upon my life in both a positive & in neg

    OLD AGE SUCKS!

I am sure as you all have noticed the changes that happen to our bodies as we age. Should we review? Lets! Okay, so one thing that I have noticed being on the downside of the hill is my skin. I normally have incredibly dry skin & that hasn't really changed. What has changed is that I have random moments of greasy that creates a once & a lifetime friend (pimples) in the most awful of places. These are places I have never had before. For example they have harbored a new life in

    Thoughts?

Hey Everyone, Hope you are holding up well in the land of social distancing. This is for all of you that take the time to read these posts. I think it is time that I ask for some feedback. As you know there is no blog without readers. I am grounded by how hard it is to get readership. I honestly thought when I started this it would take all of a month & this would be booming. I figured that we (you & me) could have so much fun watching ths become a mega form of entertainment.

    Seclusion #4

Another week of social solitude. So another post of my lonely family adventures. This is another hair one....sorry peeps that do not have long hair. This one is from the great abyss of social media. All you need is clean wet hair & a housecoat tie. The 1st one is a twist. You take your wet hair & twist in in sections around the tie. Basically making it a tight twist & you gather the hair like you would be french braiding. A little bit at a time. I did do this one with damp ha

    Dear Children,

To my Three Children, There isn't a day that I am not somehow engulfed in your world. From the moment you all were placed in my arms it was never about me anymore. It was always about you. One by one as you showed up into our little family, you all gave me a gift. A gift of love. A gift of smiles. A gift of laughter. When I became your Mother, I did not know the journey we would go on. There have been extreme ups, there have been the opposite in lows. But one thing that has n

Why Fit In When You Were Born To Stand Out

I know that I am uniquely my own person. I am Crazy. I am Brash. I am Bold. I do not fit the Box. & Most of all....I am unique to me! Crazy is a word that I associate with things that I do, that no one else will do. For example: When in Vegas, go around hugging & giving high fives to all the guys you think are hot. Yes I did!! I was with 5 other women & they all did the eye roll & laughed while I was doing this. But it was fun & worth it. Literally, I will do some crazy thing

I HATE BAKING! But what do you do when you can't leave the house.... maybe try something you haven't done before like baking? So therefore it becomes: Seclusion #3 Okay I gave in. I despise baking & or basically anything I have to make in the kitchen. However, most of what is baked I like to eat. So I either do it....or I don't! Not anyone in this family would attempt to bake. So it is all left up to me! I did attempt to create some yummy goodness. I choose to bake! UGH! Firs

    Pet Peeves

We all got them. The things that bother us to no end. I have a friend whose Pet Peeve is when vehicles don't have their daytime running lights on. Come on people, they are handy for when stuck in bad weather, or just for other people to see you coming at night. I can justify this friend's peeve as it is annoying. I got a few of my own too! Just like my friend above, I have one for all the drivers out there. It drives me absolutely bonkers that people don't use their signal li

    Losing Your Mind

There is really no joking matter when it comes to age & trying to complete your thought or even keep it. Slowly as age has been creeping up on me I have noticed that I am not just as 'on the ball' as I used to be. It isn't like I can't remember the kids names, or where I live. I got those no problem. The issue is little things like: Where is my phone? Who sings this song? Where did I see that? What is the name of the TV show? and on and on.... Sometimes it is just plain & sim
